David Lieberman

David is a senior copywriter (and fellow Oregon Duck alum) who is on the hunt for his next big thing. Previously, he was at Media.Monks where he “conceptualized, wrote and pitched work that showcases the possibilities and potential of emerging technologies across a variety of channels, working with global innovators at PayPal and Meta — specifically within Reality Labs and WhatsApp.” In addition to tech brands, David’s site also features work for Lululemon, Nike and Jordan from his time at AKQA and Nike. (So many killer brands, sheesh.) Can’t wait to see where David lands!

Mac Schwerin

Mac is a senior copywriter at Draftline NYC, previously at The Secret Little Agency in Singapore. In addition to projects for brands like DBS Bank (above), Travelers, and Lazada, his site includes a short documentary he wrote and narrated on the PlayStation, as well as links to articles he’s had published on sites like Vox, The Atlantic, and Polygon. Dig it.

Graham Davis

Graham is a copywriter/ACD at AKQA in NYC. For everyone in the States who spends tomorrow celebrating Thanksgiving with turkey, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole—MC is serving up dessert. Graham’s portfolio is filled with killer projects for Beats by Dre, Nike, and Got Milk?, plus an amazing project called The Snow Fox (so cool). Pour another apple cider, sink back in the sofa, and check it out. Good stuff.

Aste Gutiérrez

Aste is a copywriter/CD at TBWA\Chiat\Day in NYC. Every once in awhile, a portfolio comes MC’s way that isn’t just good—it’s on another level. From the second you hit the homepage it’s like, oh no, this is what a portfolio is supposed to look like. (What have I been doing with my life??? Arrrg.) Aste’s site is one of those. All kinds of killer projects for clients like Nike, Nissan, Sharp, and Coke while working at agencies like TBWA, BBH, AKQA, and Fred & Farid. And then, if you haven’t considered quitting advertising after viewing the above, check out his Awards page. That’ll do it.

UPDATE: Brian Button

sneaks

Brian is a copywriter in San Francisco. Since his first post on MC (March 2012), he’s moved from AKQA to Digitas and added some new work for eBay and Taco Bell to his portfolio — including a series of shorts for eBay called “eBay Thanks You.” Sometimes a story needs more than 30 or 60 seconds, you know? Also, MC would like Jonathan Adler’s beach house, please.

Brian Button

Brian is a writer at AKQA in San Francisco. You know what’s fun? Clicking through someone’s portfolio, and you see they’ve got a big Tony Stewart TV spot on there, one of TBS’ Funniest Commercials of 2010. That’s first. Then, you skip down to what’s last, in the Other Stuff section, and you find a headshot of Brian on socks and tighty whities, proudly gifted to and displayed by his family at holiday time. You just. I mean. You can’t beat that.

UPDATE – Justin Kramm

Justin is a copywriter/ACD at Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco. He just relaunched his site with a bunch of new work, and made it mobile-awesome. So now you can take Justin with you, wherever you go. How great is that? Great. NOTE: Commuters on 280 between 8:30 and 10am, don’t Justin and drive. Please. I’d hate for my blog to be the cause of my own demise. Thank you.

Keith Zang

Keith is a senior copywriter at The Kaplan Thaler Group in NYC. This is what you get when you’re an interactive copywriter working at AKQA or Kaplan Thaler or one of those. You get yourself a custom portfolio site. Really like how simple it is to nav. You can jump around and see the whole thing in just a few minutes, which is rare for a portfolio full of interactive work. Nice.

Jon Lee

Jon is a senior copywriter at AKQA in DC. Bunch of cool work on his site for VW, The Force Unleashed 2, and Fallout 3. Also on the site is a wide variety of his art including visual and video series, projects, and a performance series entitled “Feed Me,” in which Jon’s friends do just that.

Lori Nygaard

Lori is a senior copywriter/ACD in San Francisco, formerly at AKQA, GS&P and W+K. She’s got a bunch of cool interactive work on her site that was done recently, so I apologize for featuring the old milk board above. (Couldn’t help myself.) How about Lori’s site? And old-school Blogger simply titled BOOK. Who needs a fancy site when you have fancy work?

Rebecca Renner

Rebecca is a copywriter/ACD at AKQA NYC. Her site is super quirky fun. (Totally stole my theme song, BTW.) A little taste from her self-description: “West Virginia native but I still have most of my teeth. I’m allergic to cats, in need of a tan, and teach Easy Bake Oven cooking classes in my free time. (Very tiny meatloaves).” Want one! Don’t leave without checking out her Weird Fun page. It’s weird. And fun.

Luke Carmody

Luke is a copywriter at Razorfish in NYC, AKQA before that. His portfolio is a blast to poke around and explore. On top of page two is a site for Benjamin Moore that’s described like this: “What is the color of Rock n’ Roll? What is the color of passion? Of power? Of sound? Discover how others view color and express your own.”

Gilberto Muiños

Picture-2

Gilberto is a copywriter at AKQA in SF. Before that, he was at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, where he wrote four spots in the Jack’s Links “Messin’ With Sasquatch” campaign, with CD Brock Davis, of which I’m a huge fan. (Both of the campaign and Brock.) For four years into the biz, this is a killer portfolio.
