Don’t miss his social campaign for RaceTrac (convenience stores and gas stations in the southern United States) around their “endless bevy of fountain drinks,” for which David got to make up fictitious soda concoctions and name them—the ultimate dream job of every 13-year-old boy who ever lived in the southern United States. Lyle is a copywriter/ACD at JWT NYC, BBDO and Dentsu before that. Lots of work for big brands like NFL, Listerine, Pepcid, DirecTV, Canon, and Rolaids. Plenty of TV and video, too. But don’t miss Writerly One-Offs, a collection of long copy pieces Lyle’s done over the years. From Lyle’s site: “I’ve always loved long copy ads. But with all the impending doom surrounding the future of print, it seems every year there are fewer opportunities to write ads in this much-beloved genre. In any case, I hope the bunch here are as much fun for you to read as they were for me to craft.” Amen, brother.

Howard is a senior CW in Los Angeles. Since his last post on MC (03.28.11) he’s updated from Krop to Cargo and added some killer new work, including pieces for Sony’s Xperia Studio and Americans Elect. About the latter, from Howard: “We tried to use the internet to nominate a president. That one didn’t work out but it was worth a shot because someone’s going to do it eventually.”

Marta Caseny

Marta is a copywriter at DoubleYou in Madrid. She got Microsoft to spend who knows how much to convince Julia, a young Spanish woman, to take back Alejandro, her mess-of-a-boyfriend, in 30 days. Just as Hotmail is asking users in Spain to take it back. Ah, that’s love. MC loves the love. And loves that Microsoft loves the love, too.

Mark is a copywriter/ACD in NYC. There’s a killer variety of work on his site for clients ranging from Corona to Mitsubishi to Washington Mutual. Andrew is a copywriter/CD at R/GA in NYC. What a crazy fun mix of work on his site, including tons of great digital. Be sure to click on “Intel, Web Film, Changed” (top row, third from right). We all have moments as copywriters, moments when we know we’ve made it. Like when you’ve hired a rock band and paid them however much to set up on the 10th floor of an office building and crank out a song about middle management I.T. Good stuff.
