Stephen Dalton

Stephen is a copywriter/CD currently serving as CD at Lumenati, a new-ish production company in Denver. Previously, he spent time at CP+B, BBDO, 72andSunny, WorkInProgress, and freelanced all over the place. His portfolio features work for brands like Domino’s Pizza, Spotify, Google, Jimmy John’s, Charles Schwab, Applebee’s, Village Inn, Nescafé, Mike’s Hard Lemonade (featuring Mike Tyson). He and his partner also came up with the infamous “Captain Obvious” campaign for Hotels.com (love it). So much good stuff. Grab a cold beverage, fire up the laptop, click the link below, and enjoy!

Chris Baker

eyepeople

Chris is a freelance copywriter/CD in NYC. His LinkedIn page states that he was named one of Wall Street Journal’s hottest freelance copywriters 2018, but that’s kind of hard to believe because it also states that he “hasn’t had shit in the Economist.” So. Not sure how one reconciles that. He did, however, come up with “Seeing Eye People” for Buzzfeed (above) which is both hilarious and cringeworthy, because it’s 100% that it’s going to be a real service someday. 110%.

James Maravetz

LooseCannon

James is a writer/director at Storyfarm in Baltimore. Since his last post on MC (08.07.14), he’s been busy. From James: “After years of working as a Creative Director at big agencies like Crispin and Saatchi, I decided to pursue my dream of directing commercials myself. I moved to Baltimore and took over the creative and directing duties for a film production company called Storyfarm. With my advertising experience, combined with Storyfarm’s production capabilities, we’ve created an interesting niche for ourselves as a hybrid ad agency/production company. Now I’m writing and directing content directly for clients, usually without an agency go-between.” Dig it.

David Roth

outsidelands

David is a freelance copywriter/ACD/stand-up comedian in San Francisco. Since his last post on MC (11.06.13), David has focused on comedy and comedy projects—and his site totally reflects that. Which is both awesome and once again proves MC’s theory that drummers, surfers and comedians make great copywriters. Killer projects up and down his site, but don’t miss his first link, Stand-Up Comedy. So funny.

Allison Bhatta

jchugs

Allison is a senior art director at Barkley in Kansas City, MO. (Her site was submitted by Will Benham, senior copywriter, big ups!) Allison’s Gift of Giving video for JCPenny (above) proves once and for all that giving is at least as good as getting. Nice. Also, don’t miss her Handmade and Invitations & Design pages. The girl likes to make stuff. Dig it.

Heather Parke

bradley

Heather is a freelance copywriter/ACD in Los Angeles. Check out her rez and you can’t help but be a little jealous of the agencies she’s worked with and the brands she’s worked on. Sick, sick, sick. MC had a hard time choosing what image to feature in Heather’s post, but if you have the opportunity to get Bradley Cooper’s face up there, that’s what you do. Right? Right.

Rick is a freelance writer/CD in Miami. Since his last post on MC five years ago (03.19.10, how has it been that long?), he’s been very, very busy. M&M’s, Coke, Jet Blue, AT&T, Macy’s, Smirnoff, Acura, etc., for agencies like Crispin, RPA, Sapient, JWT, and BBDO. This is a good one.

Justin is a copywriter/CD in NYC. Since his last post on MC (07.27.12), he’s gone full-time freelance, put together a new Cargo site, and added a bunch of new work—including the above for Capri Sun. So many killer projects all over his site. Really happy to have Justin back up on MC. Really awesome way to kick off the week.

UPDATE: Vlad Ivangorodsky

dog

Since his last post on MC, New York art director/creative director Vlad Ivangorodsky has gone full-time freelance and has added a bunch of new work to his site, including the above GoDaddy spot for Barton F. Graf 9000 (that almost made the Super Bowl). Always love posting Vlad’s site up on MC, even though he’s not officially a copywriter. Good ideas are good ideas are good ideas.

UPDATE: James Maravetz & Vlad Ivangorodsky

youcan

Since their last posts on MC, James Maravetz (01.28.13) and Vlad Ivangorodsky (honorary AD 10.15.12) have combined their insane portfolios into one super insane portfolio site. MC found it impossible to choose which project to feature, there’s so much killer work, but what’s above seemed appropriate. In athletics and creative, you can’t until you can.

Craig Miller

dj

Craig is a copywriter/SVP/Group CD at Arnold Worldwide in Boston. Since his last post on MC (04.22.11), he moved from Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder to Arnold, and added a bunch of new work to his portfolio—which just rocks. It’s one those sites where you go, “Oh, that campaign. And that campaign. And he did that campaign, too. Geeeez.” Just awesome.

UPDATE: Vladislav Ivangorodsky

Vlad is an art director/CD at CP+B in Miami. His portfolio was one of MC’s rare Honorary posts for art directors (Feb 2011), because it’s just off the charts awesome with big ideas. Got a nice email from Vlad saying that that post helped him get his current gig, which MC loves to hear. Anyway, year and a half later, it’s time for an update. New site. New work. Still off the charts.
