Christine Call

Christine is a copywriter at Deutsch. She shares a site with art director Clemente Bornacelli. They’ve done some cool work for VISA, including pieces of the Go World campaign for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Their site is hosted on Cargo and presented as verbs (above), except “???” which are their answers to James Lipton’s 10 questions. Christine’s favorite curse word: “Douchebag.”

Niels West

Niels is a senior copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather NY. (He’s also a fellow Oregon Duck. Go Ducks!) Lots of cool stuff on his site, including work for IBM, UN Climate Change Conference, US Open, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy. By the way – how great does Vimeo HD video look? Now that you can watch Vimeo on iPhone, it may be time to officially crown it as the best option for portfolios.

Laurence Gega

Laurence is a copywriter at Berlin Cameron United in NYC. He shares a site with creative partner/AD Jason Slack. There’s a bunch of killer work on their site for the NHL, Land Rover, Snickers, Kindle, etc., but I just had to feature the awesomeness above from their “not advertising” section, labeled simply “World’s Greatest Ad.”

Charlie Stephenson

Charlie is a senior copywriter at TBWA Chiat/Day, formerly at 72 and Sunny. There’s plenty of killer work for Zune on his site – including wicked video. But MC’s fave is a trophy for Charlie’s band Honchie featuring a plaque that reads, “International World Champions of Rock Music Honchie”. Sick.

Alex Goulart

Alex is a senior copywriter at SS+K in NY. He shares a site with AD/creative partner Joao Medeiros. They were both born in Brazil, grew up in England, and started their careers in Singapore and Belgium. They also speak four languages (not the same four). All of which makes their work truly international and totally interesting.

Sarah Hughes

Sarah is a senior copywriter at DGWB in LA. From her homepage: “This is not just a portfolio. It’s an introduction, a first impression, an awkward hello. It’s a firm handshake with a slightly sweaty palm. It’s an unlocked diary. An autobiography. It’s exhibit A. It’s lost sleep and bruised egos. It’s a eulogy to dead ideas, recycled comps and eraser marks. It’s what if and maybe so. It’s a note passed in class. A do you like me? Check yes, no, maybe. It’s a road traveled and a future unknown. It’s an open mind, printed possibility. A snapshot, a mirror, an unanswered question. What do you see? This is not just a portfolio. It’s an opportunity.” Amen, sister. That it is.
