Allen is a copywriter/CD at GSD&M in Austin. He’s got some great BMW stuff on his site, including the online movie/event “The Ramp” which was forwarded to me 1,342,468 times. For good reason.

Eric is a copywriter at RPA in Santa Monica, where he did this cool Honda board. He wrote that killer Honda “Trashed” spot, which is a must-see on his reel. He also does what many of us dream of doing, and that’s live in Santa Monica and write films.

I’m pretty sure Bryan is a copywriter at Arnold Boston. His rez is somewhat mysterious, as is much of his site (contact is just a yahoo email address … and give “download resumé” a shot – awesome). The work isn’t mysterious though. I saw the above campaign at the Kelly Awards this year. Smokin’.

Ryan is an ACD at CP+B. If you’re not happy with your career, just skip going to his site. If you’re having a good day, a really good day, then I recommend going through it backward. Start with the rez. He broke into the biz as an intern at CP+B in 2004. Right. Then to to the awards page. Shit. Deep breath. Then to the work, which is really just a line-up of every other brilliant spot that’s come out of Crispin over the past five years. Including the Whopper Freakout campaign.

Brian is a Senior Copywriter at Saatchi New York, but halfway through his print portfolio I had to double-check his rez to make sure he was a copywriter, not an art director. Why? Because his book is full of super clean, big idea, visually-driven work that KICKS ASS. Not to mention his TV. Damn.

Chris is a Senior Copywriter at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners in Sausalito, and before that Arnold in Boston. As you’d expect from a guy who’s been at those two shops, his book is full of great writing that’s smart, surprising and funny as hell.

Gilberto is a copywriter at AKQA in SF. Before that, he was at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, where he wrote four spots in the Jack’s Links “Messin’ With Sasquatch” campaign, with CD Brock Davis, of which I’m a huge fan. (Both of the campaign and Brock.) For four years into the biz, this is a killer portfolio.

Steven is a Senior Copywriter at AKQA in San Francisco. He’s got a great online portfolio. Sometimes you look at a book and you can just tell that the copywriter loves what he/she does for a living. Loves writing. Loves big ideas. That’s Steven. Steven has fun. When I go through Steven’s site, so do I.

Brian is a journeyman copywriter who, in his spare time, started a fashion company called Mothership. He also started an annual Best Albums of the Year compilation and sharing co-op for ad creative music freaks, of which I was part for several years, that’s just amazing.

Nick is a freelance copywriter in Los Angeles, at TBWA Chiat/Day before going solo. Before copywriting, he was video editor. Good copywriters come from everywhere (and anywhere).

Dane is a copywriter at space150. Officially, that makes him an interactive copywriter. But he also makes cool stuff like this biz card mural for space150’s NYC office. (They change their identity every 150 days.) Genius.

Matt is a San Francisco copywriter who, as it happens, was a college buddy of mine at U of Oregon. You know what’s not fair about writers like Matt? Writers who worked at good interactive shops like T3? Their slick sites that you just know were done in 30 minutes by one of their punk interactive buddies. Whatever, Matt. The rest of us use blogs. Free blogs. Like writers are supposed to use. Jerk.

Get ready to be absolutely and completely jealous. What more can I say about Kash’s work, site, experience (now ECD at Pereira & O’Dell), awards … and did I mention his work? Holy crap.

Joel’s book is filled with absolutely fantastic print writing. Not that the rest of his stuff isn’t awesome,
but man. His print is just spectacular.

Casey is a copywriter who, in his spare time, founded and runs the creative blog/thing known as Superbeast. In his own words, “Superbeast Creative is a collaboration of advertising creatives, designers, artists, and musicians around the world. Ideally we would like this blog to be a meeting ground to discuss various things that are awesome. Join. Conquer!”
