Benji is a new copywriter in NYC, after just graduating from Miami Ad School in Brooklyn (big ups!). The first project on his site is a new product: Tostitos Twist-Up Queso Cup. Because everyone knows you don’t pour it in a bowl, you eat it out of the jar. Genius.

Sarah is a new copywriter after recently graduating from Chicago Portfolio School, and is now freelancing at DDB Chicago. This is what it’s like for the kids these days. Sarah’s got a campaign for Orville Redenbacher Ready-to-Eat Popcorn that’s all about how much easier it is than microwave popcorn. Wait, you mean we need something easier than microwave popcorn?! But. But. In her ad above, it’s equal to the difference between typewriters and computers. But I. I just. (Sigh)

Jose is a copywriter at Dieste in Chicago. He’s also a professional skateboarder who did some time at Second City. (Proving once again that drummers, comedians and surfers/skateboarders make great copywriters.) So cool to see how writers like Jose jump from one ad culture to another—and one language to another. A good idea is a good idea.

Brian is finishing up his copywriting internship at CP+B in Los Angeles after graduating from Chicago Portfolio School, and then will be on the hunt for his first gig. After checking out his work, don’t miss the video on his About page: Illinois State vs. Bradley Halfcourt Shot. Brian won chicken wings for 10,000 people. Destined for greatness!

Ashley is graduating from Creative Circus on December 19th. Lots of great student projects and side stuff on her site. Don’t miss her spec spot for Prilosec OTC (above). “Hey there. You’re up awfully late. Something keeping you awake? You feeling hot? Is there something burning, deep down inside you? [Whispers] Is it heartburn?” Ha-ha! Dig it.

Lora is new copywriter at Arnold Boston (congrats!), after graduating from Miami Ad School: New York and completing an internship at Droga5. Lots of interesting strategy in her portfolio: Crayola goes green by going black and white (above), bone marrow donation at Comic Con, and the NFL joins the World Wildlife Fund to help conserve the habitats of Bengals and Dolphins. Smart.

Evan just graduated from Chicago Portfolio School (big congrats!), and spent time before that time in the Second City writing program. Always fun to see portfolios coming right out of school—when the client and creative can be anything. Like Evan’s Sugar In The Raw campaign. A whole new spin on “Come give Grandma some sugar.” Goodness.

Sarah is a junior copywriter at Ron Foth Advertising in Columbus, Ohio. Her book is a mix of produced work (California Academy of Sciences, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium) and student projects from her time at Chicago Portfolio School (Game of Thrones, Male Breast Cancer). She also spent time in the Second City Training Center/Comedy Writing Program and has several script excerpts up on her site. Once again proving MC’s theory that comedy, drumming and/or surfing make great copywriters.

Britton is a new copywriter in NYC after graduating from Adhouse. He’s got nine student projects in his portfolio for brands like Puma, Canada, and Virgin Mobile. What’s more fun than looking through a school portfolio and seeing what someone chose to do, for whom, when they could do anything for anyone? Nothing. Nothing’s more fun. Good luck to Britton, can’t wait to see where he lands!

Meg is a copywriter intern at Allen & Gerritsen in Philadelphia, after graduating from Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida. Her site’s home page features GIFs instead of stills for most projects, which is super fun. Hover over the GIF, and the name of the project/brand appears.

Scott is a senior copywriter at Hudson Rouge in NYC. Lots of great automotive projects on his site including Volkswagen, Hyundai and Lincoln (above). Also, a hilariously sad campaign for the NDRC, featuring faux children’s book covers reminding kids and their parents of the dangers of climate change, like “None Fish Few Fish Dead Fish Who Fish.” Hello, nightmares!!!

Greg is a new copywriter at Merkley+Partners in NYC, after graduating from Miami Ad School Brooklyn in June. Tip ‘o the Hat to Greg for pure fearlessness, as in the above video for Scotch Magic Tape. From Greg: “Have you ever torn paper on purpose? Torn it slowly, confidently and unapologetically? It’s kinda hot (especially with eye contact).”

David is a copywriter/CD in Atlanta. Don’t miss his social campaign for RaceTrac (convenience stores and gas stations in the southern United States) around their “endless bevy of fountain drinks,” for which David got to make up fictitious soda concoctions and name them—the ultimate dream job of every 13-year-old boy who ever lived in the southern United States. Good times.

Tim is a copywriter in Chicago, having recently returned to The Windy City after four years in NYC. Click on his Trojan project link, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you’ll find a two-minute video “The History of Getting It On.” It’s no joke. It’s actually the history of condoms in the modern world. (Fun.) These are the things we get paid to do, my friends. Dig it.

Andrew is a new copywriter at kbs+ in NYC, after graduating from Miami Ad School in Brooklyn. (Big ups, Andrew!) So, what kind of portfolio does it take to land at an awesome shop like kbs+ in NYC? Here’s your chance to find out.

Andrew is a freelance copywriter who left San Francisco to become an International Man of Leisure/Freelance Copywriter. He now resides in Prague, where he created the above campaign for Two Tales Beer—aiming to save the global economy (and the world) by belting America’s baggy pants, one beer at a time. Sounds crazy, right? Until you discover that Joe Satriani re-tweeted the campaign. Time to expand that title to International Man of Leisure/Freelance Copywriter/Evil Genius.

Phil is a copywriter/CD in NYC. One of MC’s favorite things is clicking through an awesome portfolio, recognizing killer work, but then discovering something new and amazing that MC hadn’t seen before. Like Phil’s video for Meetup. Beautiful.

Nate is a copywriter at Leo Burnett in Chicago. Whole bunch of Allstate in his portfolio including TV, banners and print. How great is the Mayhem campaign? Great. He’s also got a Second City sketch that he wrote and titled, which ran for five weeks. Once again proving that comedian and copywriter are like peanut butter and jelly.
